An endless morning. A series of appointments where you need to stay focused, engaged, and ready to speak, listen and explain. When lunchtime comes, all you want is to sit down, relax and enjoy a peaceful moment of silence. Nearby, there’s a bistro run by a petite, warm-hearted woman. Even if you just order a simple sandwich, she serves it with the care and flair of a gourmet restaurant. A girl enters before me, she must be a regular customer from the way they greet each other, she sits down at the table opposite mine and while I wait, I observe what she is wearing: a cashmere turtleneck, a necklace with geometric pendants, jeans with a frayed hem and loafers in shiny leather with a warm, thick hand-made scarf that she must have decorated herself with small gold-coloured safety pins.

When I was asked to curate editorial content for the Marina Rinaldi website, I saw it as an opportunity to connect with one another, almost as if those five women sitting at a bistro table had started sharing their stories. Together, we’ll have the chance to explore the key issues of femininity, starting with the most important one: self-love. We shall explore how to highlight our most authentic beauty, because every jacket, every shirt, every pair of trousers, every skirt, every piece we wear, tells a story about who we are: joyful, playful, empathetic, elegant, and always ready to take on a thousand challenges.
